This is just so cool
You can fill the smaller areas of extrusions by loading the epoxy granite into refillable caulking cartridges and pressure/squeezing it into the extrusion. If you want more rigidity, you can use steel rebar implanted into the epoxy granite.

Most builders fail to use rubber isolating pads for the feet of home-built machine tools. These pads help to reduce vibration.

If you go for the bike idea mentioned in the comments.... I'll just say that years ago I had a gym membership and with just a little bit of practice I could sustain 150 watts(maybe it was 200..) for an hour.. so you would need a whole lot more load than a phone charger(yadda yadda.. losses in the circuit..) the super capacitors would be a requirement since the five watts for an hour to charge your phone would be(10% confidence in my memory here) something like 18,000 joules.. or ~2 minutes-worth of pedalling.(legs are mosterously more powerful than arms). no battery that small would enjoy getting charged like that so some sort of storage is a requirement. Otherwise, I like this video.

You need a set of inline diodes on your output to prevent electrical backwash. You could see when your supercaps were hooked up they were still powering your volt meter and draining. This will improve your efficiency.
You need to power it by hamsters.

I've noticed many people building CNC machines recently who have chosen to use those linear rails/bearings instead of round rods. Is there a reason for that? I would think that the round axes would be better since there are bearings on 4 sides of the rod and ball bearings have maximum capacity when the race is pushing downwards rather than side to side. Wouldn't the flat axes with the two races on either side be weaker when force is applied in other directions?

This wing design is better than your original with the addition of a spar however it doesnt solve the issue that the wing half columns never actually meet and fuse making the wing weak to torsional loads along the chord. That said its still a great lightweight design, thank you Tim
Make a bike generator to charge big portable batteries and you're getting lean AND some free electricity. Fucking preem stuff here.
It would be sick to have a much higher gear reduction, and connect it to a bike sprocket! I imagine this would be very handy in a power outage lol
